The Five year time jump in continuity leaves alot of unanswered questions.
There are some that you may not have noticed.
For example. Team # desinations on the Young Justice Team.
The Highest # designation we hear is B-22 Blue Beetle
However we've only ever seen 17 members of the team (including Mal Duncan). (I don't think Sphere and Wolf are got designations).
Asuming we saw the full roster and that the most recent member in Blue Beetle that leaves 6 team members who have joined and left in that five year gap!
Terra?, Starfire?, Cyborg?, Jason Todd?. (My God I hope it's Jason I Love him). Any Ideas on who the other members could be.
Then look at the Justice League.
Captain Atom states other than the Six Heroes that went missing there were 15 other active leaguers. I counted 14 other that appeared at the end of the episode. One Active member didn't appear. Who's the missing member? Red Arrow would be the most logical.
Again to Designations. There should be 21 members of the team. The most recent member Rocket was designated 26. That's 5 missing members. Could Aqualad, Artemis, and Kid Flash have been on the team for a time?.
Now to the Big Questions. Where are Artemis, Aqualad, and Kid Flash?
KF and Artemis I don't have an answer for. Aqualad I do. And you may not like it.
The the salvage synopsis states that "Nightwing and company try to salvage the soul of a former comrade fallen from grace". Obvious member would be Artemis with villians roots. But look at this Image of Aqualad from a toy box. http://media.comicbookmovie.com/images/users/uploads/43437/yj6kidflashboxsd1_.jpg
Look at what Aquald is wearing and compare that to Black Manta and his men's outfit. http://media.comicvine.com/uploads/5/58713/1707436-black_manta_1.jpg
One and the same.
It seem that in between this 5 year gap Aqualad has betrayed his King and allied himself with his Worst enemy. Or is he a double agent?
This twist makes sense considering that the DC comics Aqualad (Jackson Hyde) who is loosely based on Kaldur is Black Manta's son. It seems likely that this remains the same in "Young Justice" continuity.
What do you think about Aqualad's likely alignment with Black Manta? Angry? Unsuprised? Happy?
Personally I love it. Even though Kaldur was my favority character I love a great villian, I love honorable villians, and I love Conflicted villians.
Tell be what you think in the comments.
