Major Winters, a wiki user. Major Winters joined the team and wiki on D-Day June 6, 2012 after he helped the team reach objectives in northern Bialya in which he knocked out several tanks and Bialyan troopers and held the evac zone for ten minutes.

PersonalityEdit

Although head strong and over talkative, Major Winters is often the inquirer. Trained and talented in most reaches of hand-to-hand combat, weapon identification, and advance education, Major Winters is the top of the line soldier. Winters enjoys in deep conversation of wits, but also loves to kick back and have fun with the wiki and the team.

In combat and in covert missions, Major Winters changes dramatically from a laid back personality to a hard and intelligent field commander. He doesn't blame his teammates often, but has a certain dislike towards uncooperative members such as Lagoon Boy.

Early Life

Joseph "Joe" Mocol came from a family comprised of great accomplished soldiers and well attained merchants. He was the oldest of three and highly athletic and intelligent. Although not as gifted as other students his age, Joe did have an advance experiance with firearms, throwing weapons, and communications. His uncle inducted him into the Rangers at an early age of 14 where he outpreformed more than half the battlion. During a mission in October, Joe predicted a change in the weather before the weather service could. Joe lead his battlion to safety, where he earned his name Major Winters. After a vacation in Central City in 2009, Winters met Kid Flash where the two took down Captain Cold while the Flash was away on League interventions.

June 6, 2012

Major Winters was called on by his commanding officer to be parachuted into Bialya where he would help the Team in investigating a strange EMP charge in which many cities around the world were without power. After linking up with Team, Winters met up with Kid Flash, Aqualad and Robin where he was informed of the situation. The suspected compound was surrounded by three tanks, two divisions of troops, and serveral perimeter detectors. Winters deduced that a sand storm would appear in 6 minutes and asked Zatanna to create a small tunnel of undisturbed air in which they could enter the compound. After arriving in the compound Aqualad split the team in two, He, Rocket, Superboy, and Miss Martian in one squad, Alpha, and Kid Flash, Artemis, Zatanna, Robin, and Winters in the other squad, Beta.

Alpha squad found a large cache and started dismatelling all the weaponry. Beta squad ran into a small team of soldiers recovering from the storm, Joe wounded a couple of soldiers while the rest of the squad knocked out the rest. Alpha made it into the part of the compund where the EMP originated from, Psimon found Miss Martian and told his soldiers to attack. Beta squad just made it into the inner compound behind Psimon, the squad took to fight. Winters disarmed and wounded multiple troopers with a combination of suppresive fire and hand-to-hand combat, then looked towards Psimon who was locked in mental combat with Miss Martian. Winters quickly loaded a smoke grenade into his launcher and fired at Psimon, Psimon was distracted long enough for Miss Martian to place Psimon is a comatose state. Superboy quickly grabbed the EMP generator and moved to the evac point.

Outside Winters, Artemis, Zatanna, and Robin took up defensive positions while Kid Flash distracted troops and the rest of the team contacted the Bio-Ship. As troops ran towards the positions, Winters grapped his rocket launcher and fired at the tanks knocking out two while Robin tossed a smoke grenade into into the cabin of the third tank. Aqualad reported the the Bio-Ship would take ten minutes to reach the evac point. Zatanna and Artemis distracted the troops long enough for Winters to reach a vantage point where he eliminated most of the troopers in ten minutes. He was picked up by the team and brought to the Cave.

Winters was official inducted into the Team as a secondary member, stating to the Team "Call me sometime."

NameEdit

The name for Major Winters was taken after his favorite war hero, Major Richard Winters commanding officer of the 2/506th PIR 101st. Airborne. His name also alludes to his ability to predict weather anomiles as during a snow storm in which his company was almost caught in, had it not been for his prediction of the early weather.

Powers and AbilitiesEdit

Higher than average intelligence: Winters has a higher IQ than most students at his age level.

Weather pattern prediction: Winters has a strange case in which he can predict to the second of weather patterns.

Master of stealth: Winters shows extreme potential in keeping quite in convert op missions.

Master of firearms: Winters shows great knowledge in using and maintaining firearms, although he rarely uses firearms in a offensive role in covert op missions.

Master of hand-to-hand fighting: Winters has the best record of using melee weapons and using martial arts.

Conditioning: Winters can take extreme punishment, has a high than average running speed, and has consiterable strength.
