• So, I was reading throwback "Young Justice" comics, (the late 90s, early 2000s ones), and I noticed that the original Young Justice team had a member of the name Arrowette. After doing a litte research on Arrowette, I noticed that she didn't have much history in the New Earth universe besides being on the Young Justice team. But this is the same with Artemis, who seems to only exist in Young Justice. So, the question I bring forth is, is Artemis just a modern, Arrowette? And if so, why didn't they just use Arrowette instead of introducing an entire new character? - Note that they both have blonde hair.

    • The similarities have been noticed for a long time. They definitely are there. But so are a lot of differences.

Artemis is not a new character - she's been around longer than Arrowette. Probably they felt they could take more liberties with her, because Arrowette's family history was the exact opposite of Artemis'. As is her personality.

YJ's Artemis has elements of Arrowette, but also of Rose Wilson, Connor Hawke, Mia Dearden and probably more.

One of the alternate skins in Young Justice: Legacy is based on Arrowette's old look.

    • People have been saying she was Arrowette since before we knew who she actually was.
