Ah right HSC'd be about now. sorry man.
Yup. So, HSCya later.
See what I did there? :P
This mean you won't be on the wiki either?
:(
To avoid spoilers, yup. Three weeks isn't long, and I'm sure I'll pop around briefly every-now-and-then.

Wow, you've been out for a while huh. HSC:Higher School Certificate. As in the last tests for high school that determine UAI (now ATAR, or have they changed it?) which I assume is what got you into Stanford. Finals for me at Uni arent far off either tbh, bout a month or two. I'll be away from Wiki as well then.
OH!!! I did high school in Canada, so I didn't have to deal w that. They just take all your %s from grade 11, & 12. Depending what you want you have to gave a GPA(grade point Average) of a certain %, (usually 85%+) and also for certain classes. Dude, I was worried that my midterms were coming up! I was like "Oh God! I thought I had 3ish more weeks!"
"Wow, you've been out for a while huh" did you mean out of the convo? or the country?
Country. Here they do that percentage thing to assign you a rank, the ranked person gets that placed mark from the pool of marks from each school. (this means that almost always, you dont actually even get your own mark for the thing, which sucks)
WHAAT!!! lame! I'm glad I didn't have to do SATs like in America. That seems stressful, and not a great judge of your abilities. I like how Canada does it w your GPA. and they do it for two years. They mainly look at your gr.12 marks, but your 11 counts too. They also look @ your summer school marks too. I did it for math one year just b/c I didn't get a high enough mark that I needed, & they didn't have any of the 1/2day classes (you take if you've already taken math, w a 50% or higher) so I had to take the full day 6 hour one (w ppl who were taking it a year early etc) but I left kinda LOVING math, and with a kick ass mark!..I have NEVER used any of it since! if you can, I suggest taking it in Sumer school, it was SO much more fun! I was super excited to be the smart one, everyone tries to copy off of!

University (only doing summer session if i flunk maths this session and not actually entirely sure I can actually do the math course I need then anyway)
Yeah it sucks as a measure of people's ability, cause the people who work and get the top couple of ranks can not study, just sign the test and leg it while the lower ranked people who work the ass off before the finals can get great marks, this mark just goes straight to the top ranked people.. It's even worse on the other end though, cause the low rankers are bound to get zero marks from the people who dont actually show up to the test. I wasn't (still am not, but way more then high school already) the most studious up until the final test so my grades suffered bigtime cause of the bad rank from other assignments. Worked out in the end though by a hair (a hair which the sub-dean of my degree had to ignore so that I could actually do the course since it was just off the mark I needed)
