The Justice Society of America[1] was a crimefighting group of superheroes during the twentieth century. It was the precursor of the Justice League.[2]
The Justice Society was active from 1940 to 1951. In the period 1941-1945, the Society expanded to become the wartime All-Star Squadron.[3]
