Iris West-Allen is the wife of Barry Allen, and the aunt of Wally West. She works as a reporter for GBS.[4]

Early life

Iris married Barry Allen in 2006.[5] Iris knew her husband was the Flash for quite a while. When her nephew Wally recreated the accident that gave Barry his speed, Iris supported her husband, who blamed himself for it.[6]

Iris attended Jay Garrick's birthday party along with her husband in Central City at the home of Rudy and Mary West. When Barry cleared away the dishes at super speed, Mary told Iris that she was lucky since Wally was not that fast. Joan Garrick said the same about Jay.[7]

Iris found out she was pregnant in the morning, but decided to wait to tell her husband until they were alone that night, as they wanted to celebrate the Garricks' wedding anniversary first.

The sudden arrival of Impulse spoiled the surprise. However, Iris was shocked to learn she was pregnant with not one child, but two, a boy and a girl. Soon after, her editor Pete called her with news that a new menace wreaked havoc in the city.[9]
