The Injustice League is a supervillain team that is an evil counterpart of the Justice League.

Roster

History

Following the Brain's activities in Northern India on September 14, the Light required a scapegoat to blame their activities on, and rounded up seven super-criminals: Wotan, Joker, Poison Ivy, Atomic Skull, Ultra-Humanite, Count Vertigo and Black Adam.

On October 1, the Injustice League used Kobra-Venom and Joker venom on mystically and radioactively enhanced plants to attack Metropolis, Gotham City, Star City, Paris and Taipei. A day later they hijacked the satellite feeds and demanded 10 billion dollars in American money. This led the Team to launch an assault on their base, bringing along Wolf and the Helmet of Fate just in case.

When the Team destroyed their transmitter, a giant plant, the plants around the world were defeated and the Justice League was able to come in and help defeat the Injustice League.[1] Most members were taken to Belle Reve Penitentiary,[1] with the exceptions of Count Vertigo, who had diplomatic immunity,[2] and the Joker, who was sent to Arkham Asylum.[3]

Appearances

Background in other media

  • There have been three incarnations of the Injustice Gang. The first was led by the alien Agamemno and consisted of Dr. Light, Felix Faust, Catwoman, Penguin, Chronos, Bllack Manta, Mr. Element, and Sinestro. They switched bodies with the JLA to help Agamemno conquer the universe, but were sent to their original bodies and defeated. The second was mostly a "joke" group consisting of Cluemaster, Major Disaster, Clock King, Big Sir, Multi-Man, and the Mighty Bruce. They disbanded after joining the Suicide Squad, where, on their first mission, Big Sir and Multi-Man were killed (Multi-Man survived using his powers), while Clock King and Cluemaster were seriously injured. The third incarnation was a team of roughly sixty villains led by Lex Luthor, Cheetah, and the Joker. They were formed to destroy the JLA and actually managed to capture several members. Firestorm eventually freed his allies and most of the Injustice League was captured (many who escaped attacked Green Arrow and Black Canary during their wedding). All captured members were taken into custody by the Suicide Squad and sent to a desolate planet (as seen in the Salvation Run arc).
