Oryx is an oryx who lives at the Logan Animal Sanctuary.

Oryx was sick and being tended to by Marie and Garfield Logan near the Bialyan border when a wildebeest stampede caused by an incursion of Bialyan tanks threatened to trample them. Superboy successfully diverted the wildebeest around them. Oryx ran in terror into the herd of wildebeest but was telekinetically lifted out of harm's way by Miss Martian.
Oryx was taken to the barn at the Sanctuary's main complex for treatment. Garfield released Oryx and an injured wildebeest from the barn before it was destoyed by Bialyian aircraft allowing them to run to safety, but was himself seriously injured in the explosion.[1]
