Designations are unique membership numbers possessed by all members of the Justice League[1] and the Team.[2] They are read out by the Computer when a member enters any restricted areas of the Hall of Justice[1] or Mount Justice.[2] The Computer also reads out designations when someone is leaving Mount Justice[1] or the Hall of Justice.[3]

The system also allows authorized guests to use the Zeta-Tubes.[4]

Known designations Edit

Justice League Edit

With the exception of the seven founders of the League, who have designations 01 to 07, these designations indicate the order of the members' induction into the League.[5] For the founders, their designations indicate the order in which they had arrived to battle the first menace that they fought as a group, before the League had even been formed.[6]

Authorized guests Edit

The Team Edit

The first three designation numbers indicate the order in which the individual became active as a hero/protege. B04 and B05 indicate the order of introduction to the other founders. Speedy, later Red Arrow, was given the designation of B06 to indicate his open invitation, which he eventually, though briefly, accepted. B07 and onward indicate the order in which they joined the Team.

C-series Edit

The C-series was used for the Team's pets, Sphere and Wolf.[28]

Notes Edit

  1. This designation was only granted in a telepathic simulation; the real Jason Bard (if there is one) has no access to the Cave.
  2. 2.0 2.1 These designations were later removed because Savage and Klarion were never intended to be authorized guests.
