Dr. Spence is an African-American with brown hair. When working, she wears a white lab coat over a light green or brown turtleneck with a dark pencil skirt. She also wears glasses.
Doctor Spence was an assistant to
Mark Desmond in his genomorph research.
Superboy was freed and Desmond defeated, Guardian was put in charge of Cadmus and Spence was made acting chief scientist.
Spence was reluctant to allow Superboy back into Cadmus, and was shocked when he accused her of creating another super-clone. All her research was now focused on medical genetic experiments.
Project Match was not hers, despite what Superboy claimed, and when it broke loose, she was terrified of it.
Amanda Spence helped create
cure-tech that could negate the effects of Starro-tech.

In the comics, Amanda Spence is a field operative from the Agenda, and major rogue for Superboy. She took part in a mission to capture Superboy, and eventually murdered his girlfriend Tana Moon.
